Arrive in Seattle ready to explore this vibrant, urban seaport. We'll suggest a central hotel so everything is on your doorstep. There is plenty to do over two nights including the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, plus Pike Place Market. Then it's time to embark on Norwegian Bliss for an early evening departure.
Spend the entire day getting to know every nook and cranny of your floating home. Have a spin around the largest racetrack at sea, play a round of laser tag, hit the aqua park and then relax in the Mandara Spa. There is a lot you can pre-book on Bliss and we'll be sure to help you maximise your time on board before you depart.
You'll be sailing past Vancouver Island today and the views are starting to change from urban to natural beauty. You may want to do no more than grab a drink in the Observation Lounge and watch the show unfold. When it's time for meals, NCL's Freestyle Dining means it's your choice where and who you dine with today and every day!
Welcome to Alaska! You'll arrive in Ketchikan early morning with a full day to spend. Ketchikan is Tlingit Indian for 'spread wings of the eagle.' Keep your eyes peeled, it isn't uncommon to spot one. There are several excursions to take advantage of from Fjords viewing to ziplining. Or, opt for a city tour highlighting Alaskan Native culture complete with a lumberjack competition.
Juneau is the capital of Alaska and home to the mighty and majestic Mendenhall Glacier. In fact, the glacier viewing here is truly epic with the Juneau Icefields and Glacier Bay National Park. Juneau is also THE spot for whale watching and we'd highly recommend the whales and wildlife sightseeing excursions. You are sure to spot humpback and killer whales along with sea lions, porpoise, harbor seals, bald eagles, bears and deer - all with a naturalist to explain this unique marine habitat.
As you leave Juneau, you'll sail through Tracy Arm Fjord and the jaw dropping beauty of Sawyer Glacier. This is where you'll appreciate that balcony stateroom - we told you!
In the late 1800s, Skagway was Gold Rush central and grew from a remote town to a prosperous city. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn and experience it for yourself. You might just dredge up a proper nugget! No trip to Alaska would be complete without hopping on the White Pass and Yukon Route narrow-gauge railroad.
