Just over a 90 minute drive north of Denver lies
Rocky Mountain National Park. Measuring approximately 25 x 15 miles and straddling the great Continental Divide with elevations often well in excess of 10,000 feet-this park is undeniably beautiful. A full third of park is above tree line, and large areas of snow never melt. In a typical day in the park you could experience arctic tundra, lush forests, glacial lakes and meadows full of flowers, the summer scenery here is that diverse.
At Bon Voyage we love the Trail Ridge Road, between Estes Park and Grand Lake, this 45 mile stretch of US -34, said to be the highest highway in the world and affords a succession of tremendous views.
You could explore Rocky Mountain Park from Denver, but we encourage you to spend a couple of days here to really enjoy the off-the-beaten-track areas. Call Bon Voyage for advice on when to visit Rocky Mountain National Park and where best to stay.
